sorry leah dizon fans!

According to JapanProbe:

American gravure idol Leah Dizon has announced that she had a shotgun wedding last week:

Dizon’s husband is reportedly a Japanese stylist that she met through work. They met about a year ago when he was involved in a shoot for one of Dizon’s CD jackets. They became friends after Dizon began consulting with him about work, and it developed into a relationship. The man is said to be older than the idol, but still in his twenties.

The couple recently discovered that Dizon is pregnant, and they decided to get married. A press conference with more details is being held on Wednesday.

Thinking about it, I’ve never seen Leah Dizon not wearing a bikini or something skimpilar.

Mikko makes a good point though, she’s now a MILF!

that portal thing.

Better late than etc…

Okay, so I’m hooked on Portal.  It’s been a year since The Orange Box was released — it’s time to get in on the fun!  (And boy was I missing out!)

What is it?

Portal is a single-player first-person shooter action game / video puzzle game developed by Valve. The game was released in a bundle package known as The Orange Box for PC and Xbox 360 on October 10 2007, and for the PlayStation 3 on December 3 2007. The Microsoft Windows version of the game is also available for download separately through Steam. The game consists of a series of puzzles which must be solved by teleporting the player’s character and other simple objects using the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. The goal of each puzzle is to reach an exit point. The “portal gun” and the unusual physics it creates are the emphasis of this game.

mk vs dc: batman’s the star!

Isn’t it quite obvious?  Midway/DC thinks that Batman is the star in MK vs DC!  Why else would he be at the forefront (and be the first one in those demo videos) of the game cover?  Supes is waaaaay in the back.

Plus, why is he suddenly paired up against Scorpion?  What happened to those teaser images/video?  The one where he’s getting beat up by Sub-Zero?

methylparabens in hair care products.

According to Cheftonio’s blog:

One type of paraben – methylparaben – has also been linked to the premature aging of skin. A study undertaken in Japan indicated that certain cosmetic products may cause skin to age excessively when exposed to ultra-violet rays. Ironically, this compound can be commonly found in products designed to fight the effects of aging.

Clear’s been my shampoo for a month now, and it seems like it has methylparaben, which causes premature aging, so…

… is it the reason that I have premature whites?!  LOL

gmail: how does it know?!

According to the official gmail blog, they’ve come up with a way to prevent the modern equivalent of the drunk-dial from happening: emails you’ll regret the next day.  (Like that time I blank-blank-blanked then sent it to her mom.  Grrrreat.)

The new feature called Mail Goggles determines the credibility of a message by barricading “Send” with several math problems.  (Because there’s nothing like math to try and bitchslap you into sobriety.)

You could set it to question your emails on specific days and times that you are most likely to be drunk … or stoned.  Say, from 3pm Fridays ’til Monday.  Or a Tuesday, because there’s really no other excuse for drinking on a Tuesday other than it being a Tuesday.

Although no amount of math obstacle course could’ve prevented this:

(Okay, so I tried — really tried to post the *actual* content of that particular email from years ago — ‘cept that what little hairs I have on my arms stand up like bristles on a toothbrush, trying to claw their way back into the skin when the mouse cursor goes over “Publish”.)

Originally, I thought the new feature would mean that gmail would analyze the coherence of the content, before it decides if a message was written on a drunken stupor.

bad.grammer = true;

mail_draft_edit = i’m not so think as you drunk i am;

Which would force me to go mathbusting before some of my personal messages are sent.

P.S.  Would they build this into blogger?  If you look hard enough, I remember getting home stinking of booze one exam day, punching in details of how a friendly little afternoon drink turned into a friend almost pushing me into the highway.  Plus that mysterious ghost-raft in the Marikina river that I even called Jaimee about.
